About - Taya Photography

I’m Taya—an event, portrait, and lifestyle photographer.

I am a Vancouver-based photographer specializing in weddings. Although I am rooted in the Vancouver area, I'm always up for travel!

Something people find surprising-yet-comforting is that I am not a fan of having my photo taken! I understand that it can feel out of our comfort zones to be in front of the camera, and I work hard to make people feel at ease and like they can truly be themselves.

I have a two year old daughter named Scottie and a dog named Jack who I raise with my husband Dave.

Sneaking in pictures of my friends when in their element is an old hobby of mine, portraiture is like second nature to me.

Just like with my photography, I enjoy the simpler things in life—being out and about with my family, indulging in good food, and being in nature.

04.

I love the ocean. It's a grounding and cleansing place for me. I am often caught swimming, even in the winter months.
